Cantabrian chamois is foundedin Cantabrian mountain chain, in front of Cantabrian sea, in Cantabria and Asturias provinces. It has evolved to have soft hooves that allow it to stand frmly in this habitat.In warm seasons chamois’ coat is light brown, while in winter it’s coat becomes very darkand thick. Te black and white markings on it’s head are the most characteristic features. While both sexes have horns, which curve backwards, the rams horns are thicker andmore curved than the ewe’s. Males and females have small black curved horns. Males are larger than females, and their horns reach a greater size and thickness.
